Arriving at the park

Pull up to the main gate on Carretera Palmitos Park, Km 3, show your QR code (downloaded before you left, not at the gate) and walk straight through. Bag checks are fast. Lockers are available just past the entrance; grab one early before the good spots go. The sun is already working by 10am.

The slides

Forty-plus rides across every thrill level means there is genuinely something for everyone in the same party. The Anaconda is the park's signature — a fast, steep, unforgiving slide that you will queue for twice. Hurakan and Tornado handle the adrenaline crowd at the other end of the park. If you go straight for these three at opening, you'll beat the 45-minute midday queues by a full half hour.

Skull Bay

A fully themed pirate water world built into the park's southern end. Skull Bay has its own atmosphere — the theming is detailed enough that it genuinely feels like a different park within the park. Hit it mid-morning before the crowds drift over. This is the best new thing Aqualand has built in years.

Children's Paradise & Kidzworld

A dedicated zone kept separate from the main ride areas, with scaled-down slides, splash pads, and shallow pools. It runs calm, it runs shaded, and the pace is entirely different from the rest of the park. Parents with toddlers: this is your anchor point. Go here first, set up your base, then trade off adult slides in shifts

The sea lion experience

One of the park's best-kept secrets, an optional, add-on encounter with the park's resident sea lions. Availability isn't guaranteed, so ask at the gate or at the guest services kiosk when you arrive. It costs extra, it books up, and it is absolutely worth asking about on arrival.

Winding down

The park closes at 5pm (September to June) or 6pm (July to August), with rides closing 30 minutes before. Last entry is earlier than you'd think, 3:30pm in the cooler months, 4:30pm in summer. Don't cut it fine. Polynesia Park and the gardens are the right place to end the day: a quiet, shaded, tropical zone that makes the walk back to the gate feel earned.

Things to know before booking Aqualand Maspalomas tickets

  • Download your ticket before you leave the hotel: Aqualand requires a mobile or printed ticket before you arrive, if you show up without one and have to use the gate printer, you pay the offline walk-up price. Download the PDF the night before, screenshot the QR code, and you're done.
  • Best way to beat the crowd: The only way to beat the queues on the big slides is to be at the gate at 10am and go straight to Hurakan, Anaconda, and Tornado before the crowds hit their stride around midday. After lunch, the big slides regularly stack to 30–45 minute waits. Plan accordingly.
  • Your ticket is locked to the date you pick: Once you've booked, the date is fixed. There are no refunds once you're inside the park, and no refunds if weather or ride maintenance causes closures during your visit. Pick a date you're confident about and check the weather forecast the night before!
  • Height categories affect what each member of your group can ride: Adult (11+ or taller than 1.40m), Child (5–10 or 1.10–1.40m), Toddler (3–4 or 0.90–1.10m), Senior (65+), and free for under-2s or under 0.90m. Individual rides also have their own height minimums, these are posted at each ride entrance. Some of the bigger thrill slides require 1.20m. Worth checking with younger kids before they get attached to a particular slide.
  • Parking is not included: If you’re driving, remember to factor in the extra parking charge before you book. Parking at Aqualand Maspalomas costs €5 per day, so it’s a small add-on, but still one of those things that can catch you off guard if you’re only thinking about the ticket price.

Skull Bay

Theme: A full pirate water world, themed to the teeth!

Children's Paradise & Kidzworld

Meet the sea lions

The park's resident sea lion colony lives in its own dedicated area — and an optional interactive experience lets you get genuinely close. Availability isn't guaranteed and there's an extra cost, but it's the kind of thing a ten-year-old talks about for years. Race your group on Misol-ha

Multi-lane racing slides are the most underrated attraction type at any water park, and Misol-ha at Aqualand is a proper one. Six lanes, a clean drop, and the satisfaction of watching someone you came with lose badly. Queue here when the big thrill slides back up — the wait is almost always shorter and the fun-to-minute ratio is outstanding.

Get properly lost in the Water Labyrinth

A winding, branching water maze where the right route is genuinely unclear. It's the park's low-key gem — no height restriction, no long queue, and surprisingly replayable. Works for every age group in the same party, which is rarer than it sounds.

Decompress in Polynesia Park

  • Children's Paradise & Kidzworld: A fully dedicated zone with scaled-down slides, gentle splash pads, and shallow pools. It's separated from the main ride areas, which means your 4-year-old can run around without being in the way of Tornado riders. Parents get actual seating here.
  • Free entry for the youngest: Children under 2 years old, or under 0.90m, get in free. Toddlers (3–4 or 0.90–1.10m) have their own pricing tier and their own set of attractions designed for their height.
  • Height minimums are real: The big thrill slides (Hurakan, Anaconda, Tornado) require 1.20–1.40m. Bring a tape measure if you're borderline — the staff will check and the rules are applied consistently.

  • Employee Entrance: This entrance is for employees of Aqualand Maspalomas only. It is located on the C/ Oasis.
